When Your Mind Takes Over

Your thoughts can take a toll on how you feel at any given time. You could be in the best mood because you got and A on a test then see someone who brings back old memories that tears you apart. Next thing you know you have tears and your eyes because of a single memory. Thoughts in general can all change your mood and sometimes it's hard to get them out of your head. As if all they want to do are tear you apart and the harder you try to hold yourself together the worse they get. But just as it's hard to push the thoughts away it's not as hard to turn them into positives. Those old memories were once good memories so instead of focusing on missing them turn it into remembering the great time you once had and think about how you can't wait to create new ones with someone else. If it's a bad memory be glad that it's over and that you are where you are now because of it, whether it be out of spite or because you moved on you got passed and there is no need to relive it. It is very hard to be positive sometimes but there is usually a way and when there isn't find someone to have by your side to cheer you up because I guarantee there's someone out there who's in just as much pain if not more pain than you and they want nothing more than to keep you from feeling the pain they feel. Whether you know they're in pain or not.
