Lost in Thought

“You are your own worst enemy. If you can learn to stop expecting impossible perfection, in yourself and others, you may find the happiness that has always eluded you.” -Lisa Kleypas

I think that in our minds we have an ideal as to how we wish life to be and when things go wrong it hurts us. I also think that we are not the only people who affect ourselves negatively. What society puts into our heads affects how we see ourselves and that because of that we can be negatively affected by our own thoughts. It's weird to think that having an average life can be so degrading and hard. I believe that it is only really that bad when you over analyze everything to the slightest detail as well. I noticed that everything him and everyone else did distressed him in the video and that there is obviously more than one way to see that situation. Either you can see the light or the dark of it. This got me to think about whether or not I try to see the light in things and for the most part I think I do but I do recall times where I was particularly angry and I couldn't see light in almost anything. I think that the biggest thing I would like to take out of his video is to try and always look for the upside in different situations and I think that will in turn lighten my mood when I am not having the best day.
